Round'em Up In Round Top

We're Headed West with Market Finds In Tow -

Our team has been doing some SERIOUS Round Top R&D and we want to share our favorite places to stay, shop, eat, and experience. Along with the dusty Texas countryside and southern hospitality, it’s food, fun and friendships formed over shared searches for one-of-kind finds.

The Brown's Guide to Round Top

Places to Eat:

No trip to Round Top is complete without indulging in some of our favorite local spots.

On our way in from Austin, we always make a quick stop at H-E-B to stock up for the weekend. It’s a bit of a tradition at this point— grabbing their fresh, homemade tortillas (they’re truly unmatched) and a few tubs of Blue Bell ice cream to keep on hand. It’s the perfect way to settle in.

Whether you’re taking a break from the fields or winding down after a long day of shopping, these go-to favorites never disappoint. Stop by Pie Haven for a sweet treat (or two), or enjoy a relaxed, elevated meal at Boon & Company. For something casual and charming, Lulu's is always a staple, while Royers Round Top Cafe is a must-visit for its legendary pies and classic Texas comfort food.

Things to Do:

If you find yourself needing a break from the fields, there are a handful of spots we always make time for—true Round Top staples that feel just as much a part of the experience as the shopping itself.

Junk Gypsy's is a must—equal parts inspiration and nostalgia, with a distinctly Texas, free-spirited charm that’s hard to replicate.

Again, we love our Blue Bell. A short drive over to Blue Bell Creameries in Brenham is well worth it, especially on a warm afternoon.

And if you’re in the mood for something slower and a little unexpected, The Jersey Barnyard offers a quieter kind of charm. It’s simple, authentic, and a nice reset before diving back into the energy of the show.

Things to Know:

A few things we'd tell our younger selves: shipping your favorite pieces home can be a bit of a challenge, so it’s best to arrive with a plan. Wear comfortable shoes—you'll be doing a lot of walking across fields, gravel, and tents. Don’t forget bug spray (you’ll thank yourself later), and cash it key when it comes to making a good deal.

Where to Stay:

Guests looking to fully immerse themselves in the Round Top experience can stay at one of our thoughtfully curated properties, conveniently located near the antique show fields. These homes, featured below, offer both comfort and proximity, making it easy to shop, explore, and unwind at your own pace.
